The “Dealing with Gender-Based Violence and Social Inequality through Theater-Based Approaches and Digital Empowerment – DILEMMA” (2024-2-IT03-KA220-YOU-

DILEMMA intends to primarily target youth ranging from teenagers to young adults, by creating materials which are accessible and user friendly for those who work with these age groups, such as theatre facilitators, youth workers, and so on. Materials will include practical in-person workshops featuring varying styles of theatre and role playing, suited for the targeted age group, as well as an online platform containing videos and further resources, all completely free and open-access. By providing these materials, the DILEMMA project intends to foster, at the very least, awareness, and ideally, an empowerment of youth towards recognising, further promoting discussions of, and the counteracting of, GBV.

DILEMMA was created by Puglia Culture of Italy, and involves the participation of Crooked House, FOCO of Spain, Room For Art of Cyprus, and Equaline and Media Suite Academy of Greece. It is funded by the European Union through Erasmus+.
The project is currently in the planning and creation stage. A ’roundtable’, or two day meeting, was held in Ireland in September to allow partners to meet, discuss, and agree upon core areas of the project such as what material will look like, who it’s for and how it can cover such a sensitive topic. Now, all partners are working on their material before they will meet in Spain and Cyprus in 2026 to test the work created.
