Projects
Our projects include performances, educational and training resources, community responses, and international collaboration.
The projects are supported by applications that we make for funding to various bodies, including the European Union (the Erasmus+ programme, and the European Solidarity Corps programme), the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY), the Arts Council of Ireland, and others.
Projects involve us working creatively with groups of people to make theatre. The theatre might be used for socially engaged purposes, or to highlight an issue our groups feel strongly about, or to celebrate aspects of community or identity. Most projects involve us making theatre for artistic, aesthetic and performance purposes.
Some projects are long-term, ongoing, and spanning decades – such as Kildare Youth Theatre. Others are once-off, short term projects like the AkAna Training Couse which was a week-long activity in Türkiye.
